Adobe said, confidently, that they would have it in a few months. Jobs gave Adobe notice before the iPhone went on sale almost 4 years ago now, that Flash would only appear on the phone when it worked properly. And we might notice that only they can write the tools or a Flash plug-in or player. We see these same kinds of conflicts in the open source community.Īdobe is trying to sell tools to write Flash Ads, pages, deliver video etc. And if we should say that open source is different, it’s not. Should we expect anything else? I don’t think so. Obviously, both companies are looking to what is better for themselves. The big difference between Apple and Adobe is that Apple has an OS, hardware sales, and media sales as well, while Adobe only has its software. ![]()
